ATAP- Asynchronous Temperature Aquisition Probe
Full ATAP

ATAP is a microcontrolled bottom profiling temperature logger. It consists of a battery powered raspberry pi microcontroller (3B for its lower power; 5 year+ EOL support) and six PT1000 A/D RTD amplifiers. All are in a one atmosphere housing married to a 0.6m titanium skeletal-protected probe with six four-wire Platinum RTD sensors. Accuracy of +/-0.5C, and a resolution of 0.019C. For subsea communications an optical wireless modem when paired with an ROV installed unit is capable of data downloads while in place on the seabed, or during ascent inside a custom ROV holster

VOIP- Voice Over Internet Protocol
Full ATAP

Lucent Technologies VOIP card for the BlueFin Network System. Unfortunately Lucent Technologies, formerly Bell Labs and one of the largest employers in tech, is no longer around. A victim of the DOT COM failure along with Giants like Nortel. The VOIP card was a daughter card on an ATM (Asycronous Transfer Mode) telecommunications card. A multi-layer card using a mix of Xilinx and Broadcom chipsets. Programming in C and VHDL, this card was capable of up to 5000 contiguous calls, with extras such as echo cancellation, call display. Note at the time in the early 2000's these technologies were considered cutting edge on an IP phone call.
